Matelea cordifolia, or Sonoran Milkvine, is a member of the milkweed family that produces delicate, jasmine-scented clusters of white flowers in the summer. It is a larval host plant for butterflies and will reseed in good conditions. This plant is also found throughout Sonora and occurs from sea level to 5000 ft. Plant in partial shade and allow room to climb via a nearby fence, shrub, or tree. Very low water needs. Watch for caterpillars after eggs hatch in the summer!
