Broad-Leaf Milkweed, or Asclepias latifolia, is a perennial native milkweed species that grows to be 2.5 ft tall by 1 ft wide, has large rounded leaves that are whorled around the stem, and clusters of white to yellowish flowers that emerge from between the leaves. This species is reminiscent of a cabbage! It is found growing on rocky plains, mesas, canyon slopes, and prairies in desert grasslands and along roadsides between 2,500-7,000 ft elevation. It blooms June-September. Grows in much of central United States from Oklahoma, to Utah, south to southern Arizona and northern Mexico.
