Monarda citriodora var. austromontana, or Lemmon Beebalm, is a perennial, aromatic mint with multiple whorled flower heads stacked along an elongated spike that grows up to 2 ft tall. The flower heads hold many small, purplish white flowers that are pollinated by native bees and butterflies when in bloom between July-October.
