This native gourd mix includes Cucurbita foetidissima, or Coyote Gourd, with Apodanthera undulata, or Melon Loco, and Cucurbita foetidissima, or Fingerleaf Gourd. These are all native vines with minimal water requirements that grow from 1000-5000 ft in semidesert grasslands and shrublands and in disturbed areas. These low-spreading vines have very large yellow flowers that bloom May-August and are pollinated by native bees. These seeds can be grown in partial to full sun in well-draining soils and are good for erosion control.
