Clematis drummondii, or Old Man's Beard, is a woody vine that can grow as large as 20 ft. tall. It has small white flowers with many yellow stamens, followed by fluffy white plumed seed heads, blooming in March-September. This climbing plant grows in a variety of habitats such as grasslands, scrub oak, fencerows, and along streams and slopes below 4500 ft. elevation. It is pollinated by bees.
