Symphyotrichum potosinum, or Santa Rita Mountain Aster, is a beautiful rhizomatous perennial that produces many small white flowers with yellow centers. This flower blooms between June and September every year. It grows between 4500-6000ft in elevation and can typically be found along muddy, sandy, or rocky streams. Because of it’s small habitat, Santa Rita mountain aster is of particular conservation concern. Enjoys moist soils and full sun to part-shade.
