Dodonaea viscosa, or Hopbush, is a native shrub that can reach 6 ft in height and is found in full sun at 2000-5000 ft in grassland and woodland habitats. It has small non-descript white flowers that turn into showy, interesting seed pods that take on a reddish hue. This plant grows quickly and densely, and works great as a privacy screen.
