Cirsium arizonicum, or Arizona Thistle, grows up to 4 ft tall and can be found in woodland and riparian habitats between 3000-7500 ft. Like most thistles, the Arizona Thistle is a fantastic pollinator generalist plant that will attract and support moths, native bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds alike from May-October with its bright red flowers. This thistle is hardy, has a low water requirement and grows well from seed. Plant in full sun to partial shade.
