Penstemon dasyphyllus, or Cochise Beardtongue, on gravelly slopes in open areas, from 3500-5500 ft. This forb has blue to purplish, tubular flowers that bloom from April-June and has special value to native bees. The Cochise Beardtongue can grow to be just over 1ft tall and has medium water requirements. Plant in partial shade to full sun. Transplants well, reseeds readily. No shipping.
