Piptochaetium fibriatum, or Pinyon Ricegrass, is a lush native perennial bunch grass, found in oak and pinyon forests from 5,000 to 7,000 ft elevation. We've mostly grown this amazing grass as an excellent feed for Montezuma quail species, as their seed is both nutritious and often found in the quail's habitat. A medium size grass up to 3ft wide and tall and grows in full to part shade, flowering July through September. No shipping.
