Desert Indiantbush, or Psacalium decompositum, is a native perennial forb to subshrub that is found in the rich shaded soils of pine and oak woodland habitats between 5,000-8,000 ft elevation. This plant grows up to 3 ft tall and has leaves that are deeply divided into narrow lobes at the base of the plant, from which the taller flowering stalk emerges and branches into clusters of small white and yellow flowers when in bloom July-September. This plant has medium water requirements and prefers full to partial shade, with additional shade and water if below 5,000 ft.
