Tripsacum lanceolatum, or Mexican Gamagrass, is a large, clumping, rhizomatous perennial native grass found in moist soil of canyon bottoms 4,000-6,000 ft. Tripsacum is closely related to teosinte, making it a significant wild crop relative to domesticated corn! A very large grass often 3ft wide and 6ft tall and grows in full sun to part shade, flowering in August through September. No shipping.
