Tripsacum lanceolatum, or Mexican Gamagrass, is a large, clumping, rhizomatous perennial native grass found in moist soil of canyon bottoms 4,000-6,000 ft. Tripsacum is closely related to teosinte, making it a significant wild crop relative to domesticated corn!
