Pennellia micrantha, or Mountain Cross, is a tiny and delicate mid to high elevation perennial forb with a flowering stalk growing to 2 ft tall and found in forests, grasslands, and along cliffs up to 12,000 feet elevation. Dainty pink or white flowers from June through September resemble a skinny broccoli inflorescence. Plant in part shade and remember where it’s planted since it’s difficult to find until it flowers. This plant is rarely found in nurseries but is spotted in the wild in mid to high elevation Sky Island settings the southwest US and northwestern Mexico. No shipping.
