American Pricklyleaf, or Thymophylla acerosa, is a low growing perennial forb in the sunflower family that can be found growing on rocky mesas and slopes from desert scrub to pinyon-juniper habitats between 3,500-6,500 ft elevation. This plant has needle-like leaves and produces small yellow flowers when it blooms from June-October. It can grow to be 1 ft tall by 1 ft wide and prefers full sun and well-draining rocky soils, especailly those with sandstone or limestone. No shipping.
