Sisyrinchium demissum, or Stiff Blue-eyed Grass, is a perennial forb in the Iris family. It is a distinctive plant with a grasslike appearance and a strikingly beautiful blue flower. Wide ranging in ephemeral ponds, wet or moist meadows, streamside, gravel bars and springs from the Sonoran Desert to spruce forests at elevations from 1,500-9,500 feet. Flowers April-October. Plant in full to part shade with plenty of water.
